Coltsville Neighborhood Training: Learn to Read Sidewalks & Streets

With a national historical park on the way, now is a good time to get ready for visitors to your neighborhood. If you’d like to learn how to create sidewalk and streetscape improvements, then come to a free training sponsored by KNOX, Inc. and National Park Service.

In two hours, you’ll learn to be a sidewalk “detective:”

  • Spot ways to make visitors and residents feel more welcomed and safe
  • Notice how to make it easier for visitors to find their way as they tour landmarks and
  • Identify how to improve walking for everyone who walks in Coltsville.

You’ll leave with a map to annotate with your detective notes.

John Monroe of the National Park Service Rivers & Trails Program will lead an interactive and fun workshop. The event is free.

Please contact Ryan O’Halloran at 860 951-7694, ext. 12 or ryano@knoxhartford.org to reserve a seat. Light refreshments will be served at 6 and will be available for the evening.
